Prime Time Senior Ministries

Senior citizens are a vital part of church life at Cargill UMC. Ministry to seniors provides both spiritual support and social activities. Pastor of Senior Ministries, Stu Allen makes visits to the home bound and the elderly in senior care centers. These visits are scheduled on a regular basis by Pastor Stu and members of the Care committee.

 Senior Meal # 2

Senior Meals are for anyone over the age of 50 who enjoy eating out and fellowshipping with others. We meet on the first and third Thursdays (most months) in Fellowship Hall. The meals begin at noon. The cost is $7.00 and includes entire meal, dessert and coffee. Call the church office at 608-752-0548 to make a reservation by Tuesday at noon before the Thursday meal date so we know how to plan.

February 15—split pea soup, ham and cheese croissant sandwich, cinnamon cherry applesauce salad, cherry pie and coffee

Michele Nowak is available in Room 107 at each Senior Meal to do blood pressure screenings. Stop in to check your heart health. Hope to see you all there!

The Noteworthy Singers, a senior choir group, sing at these meals and are always looking for new members.

Senior Meal #3

Become a member of Cargill’s Prime Time Seniors’ group. Designed for those of us over the age of 55, the group enjoys day trips, going out to eat, and many other social activities. Social activities bring seniors together for both fun and faith building. Recent trips have included a bird farm, Fireside fish fry, an antique shopping outing, and attendance at an off-Broadway musical.
