Rev. Stu Allen was invited to serve Holy Communion to a group of volunteers who are know as NOMADS today. Coming from several states they have spent three weeks at Pine Lake UMC camp near Westfield doing all kinds of work. Lindell and Linda Whitelock from Cargill UMC led this hard working group. On the left is a photo of an Adirondack chair you can buy and it will be placed on the Camp’s beach for $ 100.00 as a fund raiser. We very much appreciate all the volunteer work the many many NOMAD volunteers do in the name of Christ

It has been a busy week at Pine Lake Camp. So far the NOMADS team has completed the tree house, the outdoor learning center has been completed, the library has been organized and updated, gutters are being installed on the nature center, the Adirondack chairs are being assembled, a “whale watch platform has been constructed and is ready to be moved to the confidence course. The week ended with the group having a diner for John and Kitty Hahn in celebration of their 58th wedding anniversary. Work is progressing, but there is more to be done.

John and Kitty Hahn (Elgin, Illinois) are full time NOMADS and have been active since retirement. They have been NOMADS for 20 years and have completed 140 projects during their time as NOMADS. This week they celebrated 58 years of marriage.  Congratulations John & Kitty!
